Bennett Yarger’s Five Step Search Process:
Step One – Position Specification
In-Depth understanding of client operations, organization and culture.
Company vision and career opportunities.
Position responsibilities, reporting relationship, education and professional requirements.
A written Bennett Yarger Position Specification for review and approval.
Step Two – Identification and Qualification
Research the potential organizations that are likely sources and review for client perspective.
Prospective candidates will be contacted, screened and evaluated.
A narrow list of candidates and their background profiles will be developed and submitted for feedback.
Step Three – Client Interviews
Coordinate interviews with appropriate individuals.
Select finalists, conduct reference and background checks as required.
Facilitate next round of interviews with finalists.
Executive selection.
Step Four – Negotiation
Salary and benefits – clarify retirement plans, expense policies, etc.
Additional compensation such as bonus, commission, etc.
Facilitate the candidate to a “yes.”
Step Five – Quality Control & Follow Up
Phone meeting with the client and the new executive after the first week to insure mutual satisfaction.
One month anniversary check-in with all parties.
90 and 180 day assessment discussion with the client and the executive.
Obtain feedback to improve services.
